Class Science Boards

Here are our class science boards. We had since the last day of term 2 to get these finished and when we did they looked amazing. Some where on water, some were on glass, and weirdly enough some were on ants which was funny. But what maters is that we all tried and did our best and that's what we came up with and they were awesome. We just hope that we can do it again soon because it was really fun.

This is a slide show that I made at a website called slide.com. It is a website were you pick some music and then you put some photos into it and make a slide show. You can have all kinds of music from punk to rock. This is a really good site to make some old photos into a really cool slide show like this one at the top which I made with some photos that I had on some of my older posts. So please use the slide website. Its awesome.

Imovie

I movie is a application that is on apple computers where you can make movies from photos from the internet or that you have taken by yourself. You can up-lode them from photo both or from a camera. My class (room 23) and another class (room 30) made some for our school TV station which is called PINTV. There are a lot of people involved in the TV station like the reporters and the interviewers. And also the people behind the camera. The camera operator and sound operator. We have also been working on a logo for PINTV. we have used another application called pages and in pages we have used a graphics tool called instent alpha. We have the winning one from room 23. the ones who mad it were Liam woodcock and mark goldstone. up the top is a photo of their logo. NICE WORK GUYS!!!!!!!!!!

After The Science Fair

Its after the awards night for the science fair and we have the results in second place for year 7 photographic journalism Shaylee Syme, in first place for year 7 investigation Erica Petty and in first place for year 8 investigation Sain De-arth. It was a tough competition but the best came out on top. so great job to the winners. now we come to the school science fair which as you can tell by the name is for the school. so now we have to wait for that day to know who the winners of that science fair are.

Current Affairs Quiz

This is a picture of the current affairs quiz that my class (room23) did on Wednesday the 23rd of June. We are going to do this every Friday afternoon. I Got 50% on my quiz but I will improve my score by watching the news at 5:30pm on prime or at 6:00 on tv3 or tv2.

News Papers

In the time Miss Morris has been with us we have worked on a news paper. We had to write about our science fair boards. Mine was on how erosion works and what the effects are. We had to think of a name for our article and the title for the news paper. My title was the Big Apple and my article was called Erosion Strikes. We also had a second page where we could do anything you like. I did some articles on a lost dog, the social, how to deal with a fight with your friend and a twilight zine for twilight fans. The picture is of my first page.

Youth Week Mufti

This term we had a mufti for youth week. there was a theme which was crazy head wear. The contestants from our class where Shenoa MacAulay with her homemade green eggs and ham hat, Erica Petty wearing her Micky Mouse hat, Olivia Andrews wearing her crazy wig and tiara, Madelin Park with her crazy hair do, Isaac Sayer with his sombrero and Liam woodcock with his glasses and sparkly hat. They all won $3.00 in canteen vouchers for wining the class composition. And the over all winner from the whole school was Shenoa MacAlay with her green eggs and ham hat. She won another $15.00 in canteen vouchers. She also entered it in to the costume shop composition down the road and won that to. She got $100.00 out of that one. Nice job Shenoa!!!!!!!!!!!!

Inter-Class

This term we have participated in Inter-Class sport. Inter-Class sport in when you get your class together and play against other classes from your school. We have played basketball and netball. we hope that there will be more inter-class sport soon. there has been a year 7 and year 8 comp and some of the students from jacks mentoring group have umpired.

Sports

This term we have done a lot of exciting things like orienteering and rugby. Soon 95 students from our school will be going to the Aims Tournament on the 5 - 10 of September. Some of the other sports we have done this term are netball, soccer and hockey. We wish the aims contestants the best of luck.

Chocolate Sales

This term pukekohe intermediate are selling chocolate. the year sevens are raising money for their camp next year. the year eights are raising money for their end of year trip. the sales are going well and we have prizes for the class and the student who raises the most money. the prizes are phones, gaming systems and many, many more.

Science Fair

This term we have been working on our science fair. Mine was on Erosion and one of the teachers have choose me along with Shalyee Syme, Sain Dearth, Logan Dawson and Erica Petty to go through to the Franklin Schools Science Fair. So now we wait till the day of the science fair.

Miss Morris

This month we have a student teacher. Her name is miss Morris and she has been teaching us a lot of new things. She helps us with maths, reading, science and writing and makes them fun and exciting. She is a third year of teaching. It has been a privilege to have her working in our class. She has been in our class for 2 weeks and has made a big impact on all of our learning and has made it fun and existing. This is a picture of her with Connor parson.
