My Seminar

I did my seminar on Wednesday the November and I thought I did well because I was confident and I spoke clearly and every on listened when I was talking. the Favorite time for every one was probably when I gave out the C.D. I hope that I get a good mark for my seminar. my power point was well presented and I had everyone's attention when I was presenting.

Enrichment

For the past two terms the year 7 have been going to different classes for enrichment. The enrichment I have been in are Spanish with miss Ostin and art and photograph with miss Giees. This term I am doing a study on Antarctica with mr Doal.

Seminars

This term we have been working very hard on our seminars. A seminar is a presentation of a career or skill that you have a lot of information on. There are heps of ways to present it a power point, demonstration or have someone who knows a lot about the subject come and talk to your audience. I'm doing mine on radio presenting. One of the thing I'm am going to do is interview my cousin from ZM at my aunties house. I hope that it all goes well.

TVNZ6 Schools Multimedia Challenge

last term me and my friend shenoa made a website fro the TV NZ 6 schools multimedia challenge. the challenge was to create a website video game or animation video. our whole class had to make a website. the website had to teach children to be more financially responsible and money smart. some of the pages included what budgeting and pie charts are, some ways to make money, what wants and needs are and some games that would be fun and educational. we are whating in anticipation for the results of th competition.

Term 4

Welcome back everyone. This term we have a lot of testing to do for the year 8s they have to sit their high school testing and us year sevens have all our other testing like pats,maths, reading comprehension and many more. This term we are also having our annul athletics. In athletics you can chose between competitive or social. Social is when you stay at school and do fun things like obstical courses and watch movies. With competitive you go to the high school and do all the normal athletics things like high jump long jump ect. After labor day this term we have to start wearing our hats and bringing drink bottles.

Class Budget

This week we have made a class room budget. we have class room jobs that we have to do to get money like cleaning up rubbish and opening the windows. we also have taxes like having the heat pumps on and having the lights on. the money was made by Blair Morrow and Jacob Howard. we all get a set amount of money at the start of the week. at the top is a photo of the money.

Sence-Lang Typing Test 3

Today room 23 have taken the sense-lang typing test again. This time my results were the following my words per minute are 14. The number of typed characters was 49. The number of mistakes were 10 and my success percentage was 80%. My next goal is to type 16 words per minute so I can touch type faster. I will go on to this website a lot so I can get better at it. I hope that by the end of this year I will be able to type better and faster.

Kevin

For the past four weeks we have had a Korean student in our class. His New Zealand name is Kevin and his Korean name is Ko Dong Hyun. He has been really nice and has learnt a lot about our class. We have all enjoyed having him in the class. Unfortunately he is leaving us on Sunday so we gave him a bag of kiwiana items. we also had a very fun and nosy shared lunch. We wish him and all the other Korean students a happy and safe trip. Have a safe trip Kevin it was awesome having you in our class!!!!!!!!

PINTV

Intermediate news TV. This is run by Mr Kevin Pope who is head for the station. this station has At Pukekohe Intermediate we have a TV station called PINTV which stands for Pukekohea lot of presenters and I cant go on and on and on and on about how many there are but there is a lot. as i have mencined in one of my other posts the logo was done by Liam Woodcock and Mark Goldstone. this has been in the making since term one and has been going for 3 weeks now so we will get a lot out of it.

Google Chrome

In week 3 term 2 room 23 updated their computers. Instead of FireFox we are using Google Chrome. Google Chrome is a web browser that can be installed to any computer. To personalize it you can have a them for your home page. you can use any website that you can use on Internet explore or FireFox. With Google Chrome you have to install it. you don't even have to buy it you just click install and what for it to load. If you want to get a them you have to go into your Google chrome and there is a window with things that you may have all ready been into, or if you only have just gone in to it, you have to go on a new tab.

Maori Language Week

In week 2 of term 3 pukekohe intermediate celebrated Maori Language Week. We did this by competing in competitions all over the school. Some were poster competitions, some were Te Reo competitions (Maori language). This was a great way for us kids to learn some more Te Reo. There where games and even a hangi for lunch on Friday. On a special broadcast of PINTV we had a word of the day and we had to geuss what it was. It we got it right we would go in the draw to win the Te Mahi Kai t shirt. Thanks to all the students, staff, and parents who helped you really made the week fun and existing!!!

Class Science Boards

Here are our class science boards. We had since the last day of term 2 to get these finished and when we did they looked amazing. Some where on water, some were on glass, and weirdly enough some were on ants which was funny. But what maters is that we all tried and did our best and that's what we came up with and they were awesome. We just hope that we can do it again soon because it was really fun.
